Did you know these are considered breakfast in China? Dumplings and wontons are similar to each other and are extremely popular. Their outer layer is made of flour and water while the inside is stuffed with a delicious filling that is traditionally meat based. Since we are a country of the holy mother cow, you can try vegetarian options as well. The dumplings are boiled in fragrant water and are also served with noodles making it a brilliant combination.

You find these with a large variety of fillings like shrimp, fish, mushrooms, and other vegetables. Wantons are essentially a type of dumpling. When they are small and are eaten with noodles or soup, they are called wontons.

This is going to be your favorite breakfast once you get your hands on it. The dish is traditionally served with  sweet and savory dishes by the side of flatbread, ahem, poori. The dough is deep fried and makes a great combination with either of its side dishes.The most common side dish is channa masala. This is found everywhere from your roadside thela-wala to your darshini to extra fancy restaurants that give you cloth napkins. The resultant dish is sweet and can be fried, baked or even steamed. The concept is similar to dumplings.
