In May 2025, Swiggy launched the Students Rewards Program in over 2000 campuses with one clear goal- to make student life more rewarding and fun by making sure they get their favourite food at most lucrative prices. The Program has become a favourite amongst 3 lakh college students across 3500 campuses, in just 3 months of launch.
In order to start availing the benefits of the Students Rewards Program, students had to register using their college email address . However, on popular demand, including requests from students of colleges such as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata amongst others, Swiggy has now extended the program to colleges which do not provide official email addresses to their students. Students can search for the word “Identity card” on the app, upload a photo of their valid student ID card and avail the benefits.
Once a student’s ID is verified, they will start receiving exclusive student discounts and special offers—tailor-made to help save more and Swiggy more.

Students enjoy a host of deals, from discounts to free deliveries, which can unlock monthly savings of over Rs 2,000 for frequent orderers.
As part of the Student Rewards Program, students can unlock a host of exciting benefits designed to make their everyday cravings more affordable. These include a Swiggy One Lite subscription for just ₹1 for 3 months, giving access to exclusive perks and free deliveries. Students can also enjoy 67% off on food delivery orders, flat ₹225 off on select food deliveries, and ₹50 off on Instamart orders for all their essentials. For those who love eating out, there’s an extra 20% off on dining out bills, making every meal more rewarding. In addition to this, they can get additional Rs. 40 off with BHIM Payments.
Big love from emerging cities
What makes this initiative even more special is how strongly it’s resonating with students from emerging towns. Over 34% of sign-ups are from cities like Nashik, Udaipur, Patiala, and Dehradun, proving that the love for great food (and great deals) knows no geographic bounds.
