Every now and again, we like to throw the spotlight on the touching tales or inspirational stories of our delivery partners. This time around, we’re shining the spotlight on some rather special talents – Roshan Shaw’s gift for the game.
Following the footsteps of every little boy in India, Roshan started his cricketing journey at the tender age of 13. Driven by the passion to play and the thirst to reach the big leagues, Roshan joined the BAC club to hone his talent. Over the years, Roshan bettered his cricketing prowess and was rewarded at the age of 17, where he was selected for the under-19 district level championship. By this time, it was evident that Roshan was a force to be reckoned with. A bowling all-rounder, Roshan made his team proud by picking up 15 wickets and scoring 230 runs during the district level matches.
After his debut at the under-19 district matches, Roshan played for the Straight Cup and the Sibram Cup as part of the under-22 district-level team. He picked up 2 wickets and scored 40 runs at Eden Gardens during the final match of the Straight Cup.
